I decide to join (modern) civilization

Let's face it, self-publishing can't be done with a dinosaur mentality. For me, this means that I have to fully embrace the wonders of social media and use it to create buzz about my book. Don't get me wrong, I've been using #Facebook and #Twitter (X) for years, and I'm comfortable with it. I have, however, ignored TikTok and Instagram, until now. Recent research has taught me that #TikTok is an effective tool for people--authors in particular--to promote themselves and their work. So, swallowing my own medicine and doing what I always tell my students to do: "grow your brain!" That's my mantra in the classroom; never be afraid to learn new things, whether that's a new skill or just a new word. If you've done that, you've created a new connection in your brain, and you are "better than yesterday." Time to heed my own advice. Therefore, my friends, I now embark on a new TikTok journey, and I'm excited about it. I think I've learned enough from YouTube and TikTok itself, to launch my own campaign for Badge, Tie, and Gun: Life and Death Journeys of a #Miami Detective. You be the judge, please. Let me know.
